The Pelham has attachments for two reins, one near the mouthpiece and one at the end of the shank. These reins have similar action to the curb and bradoon reins in the double bridle.

The Polo Pelham 75 has 75mm shanks and utilizes a heavier cheekpeices than the standard Pelham.

The Polo Pelham 75 is supplied with curb hooks and chain.

The Johan Du Plooy has a ported curved mouthpiece with a central roller filling the port. This roller applies tongue, bar and poll pressure which makes it an effective polo bit.

Disclaimer: Sweet Iron will oxidize when it comes into contact with mositure, this oxidation process encourages salivation which improves acceptance of the bit. This process changes the blue colour of the Bomber bit to a brownish grey. If not used for a while, any build-up may be removed with a scourer and wiped with a damp cloth.
