Often, dermatitis is not caused simply by one factor. There is initial skin irritation. Followed by secondary bacterial or fungal infection. Our Scratches Medication has anti-fungal and antibacterial medications plus a small amount of cortisone cream for itching and irritation. The base is aqueous so that heat will not be reflected back to the area. For scratches or dermatitis on lower legs, we recommend clipping the area, bathing with a mild soap, and towel drying before application. For minor wounds, clean area then apply. The cortisone helps prevent adhesion and scar tissue in the healing process, while infection is addressed. Soothing coconut extract and lanolin protect the integrity of the damaged skin. Available in 8oz. jars. Use only as directed.
